Isaiah 55:1-2

‘Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.

Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labour on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.
- Where is all this free food and what is it? The pleasures of commercial world are expensive. You have to pay for them. Not only are they expensive, but they never satisfy. They are counterfeit. They are sawdust and cannot satisfy the soul.
- How can you buy with no money? Coming to God in prayer will satisfy, but it does cost. It cost Jesus to open the way, but it also costs us in time and effort, but it will be worth every penny of our time.
